Applied on 19 june and approved on 27 august.
Unfortunately, I got an email from my college that if in case your second stage of study permit get refused, they won't be able to refund. I have paid 9000 dollars fees. What should I do please help.
And students who got aip please comment and tell me what you are going to do

That is such a fraud. Which college is it? Also, upon Visa rejection every college refund the fees after deducting admin charges such as CAD 500.
I believe every offer letter from college does mention that in case of Visa rejection, fee will be refunded.

If you have the AIP., you're likely not to get refused. Its however wrong if this is actually coming from a DLI not to refund a paid amount of fees, especially IF you didn't/haven't registered for online classes yet. I hope you've not?

Same with my college. But for sure they will give you the credit for the duration before refusal. You can reapply for visa but you don‘t have to start the program all over again.

Douglas College. They are not allowing online studies without AIP and there is no refund when the classes start. The credit gained under AIP will be recorded. My course is a 1yr program i just need the CPD hours for my chartership and the diploma for career advancement. Im not really interested in PGWP and studying the whole program online is not an issue for me, but still they requiring AIP. Im really stuck in this whole process. Attending the orientation is very uncomfortable and i notice many international student is with visa on process.

You will be using your institution‘s resources while studying under AIP. You will be learning and getting academic credit and it will be as good as free if they refund your tuition after refusal. I doubt schools will give their services for free.

I just received an email from my school admin. It made me feel so relieved. This is as good as far as i can get. Another compromise as an International student but at least this is giving me an option to proceed studying. I can keep my full time job at the same time a full time student at night. Tough but doable as i manage to squeeze all my subjects in 2 days per week. My college is giving me more flexibility they should have announce this sooner.

I still don‘t believe IRCC is doing good in dealing with the visa process. Someone need to remind then the proper order of months in the calendar if they’re really know what their saying that the process is a first come first serve basis.

Hi, but you mean you still want to attend the online course without AIP . I would like to think that it’s risky a bit as they mentioned clearly in the email that the tuition fee is nonrefundable after the online course have started not matter how your study permit is approved or not

Yes it is risky and its not advisable if your main goal is to work and immigrate to Canada. For me it is a post grad diploma and i am after the CPD hours and diploma for chartership requirement. If i got refused after finishing the whole sem the college will still give me the credit and i don’t have redo the sem. I will just keep applying until my visa get approve. I will also keep working on full-time job with no working hours limit while studying full-time. I think this is better than deferring and waiting. Im gaining experience while studying and this might actually help my application. Proves that I'm applying for student visa only to study.
