I will share my information first:)

My employer applied AEO last Aug 4,
got file number as of Aug 10,
got first contact from Service Canada on Oct 8,
got rejected for delay of reponse Oct 15,
(my boss was away in Asia, they were talking through email, which was killing me :p )
sent out reconsideration request by fax on Oct 16,
got apprval on Oct 19 by fax.

I hope this will help whose emplyers are applying for AEO.

I came to Canada 2 years ago as a student, from Korean.
I can apply to immigration office in Korea as well as office in Sydney, (to Buffalo at the end), I believe.

How long does it take for the people who are in Canada with AEO to get the PR?
Any one similar situation?
How much AEO helps?
Everyone gets interview?

Please share your information.
I cannot really afford Lawyer cause I cannot work until I get PR :)

you can send ur pr file to Buffalo as Sydney office will suggest where to send your final pr file.
Havind AEO improves ur chances to get PR. however it depends, how relevant your AEO is with ur past work experience.

Office must believe that u are able to perform duties as per AEO occupation then u get additional 10-15 points

best of luck

1. Between 6-12 months at the processing office, plus processing time at Sydney, plus the time for you to get the required information for the 120 day letter.
2. You should note that CIC/CHC appears to be looking at AEOs a little closer these days. The following is a copy of a letter that a couple of applicants with AEOs have received.

Dear Applicant,
This refers to your application for permanent residence. Please be sure that you read this letter carefully and provide precisely what is being requested; if you provide incorrect or incomplete information, it may result in your application being delayed or refused.
Your application may be processed more quickly, outside the regular queue for skilled worker applications, if you can show that you meet the requirements of Regulation 82(2) of the Immigration and
Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Regulations of 2002. You need to provide the following ( T ) information to assist with our assessment:
1. ( __ ) a current job offer letter from the prospective employer in Canada, explaining in detail: exactly what is the job on offer (position, duties, salary, place in company, etc.)
2. ( __ ) documentation from the prospective employer to demonstrate that their business operations are ongoing and will be able to provide you with sustained employment if you obtain an immigrant visa. Such
documentation could include: photographs of their business premises, business licence/registration, payroll, recent tax statements, trading accounts, company history, etc. The employer may already have provided similar information to Service Canada, but it is required now in the context of evaluating the genuineness of the job offer as part of your visa application. The employer should include details of any other foreign nationals they have hired after having obtained a job confirmation from Service Canada. The employer may send this information directly to our office .
3. ( __ ) a full and detailed explanation from the prospective employer of the process by which the vacancy came about in the employer's company, why an employee is being sought from outside Canada, and how you were found to qualify for and subsequently offered the job
4. ( __ ) a letter from you, explaining in detail the process by which you obtained the job offer from Canada
5. ( __ ) a reference from your current employer, explaining your job duties
6. ( __ ) your own description of your qualifying experience. Please write your own detailed explanation,
including examples of how you accomplished each task as stated in your job description.
7. ( __ ) a full and detailed explanation from you of how your qualifications and experience are relevant to the job being offered, and how you will be able to perform the job in Canada.
You should send this information within 90 days of the date of this letter. If you can demonstrate that you meet the requirements of R82, you will be awarded an additional 10 points under arranged employment, plus 5 points for adaptability on the selection grid under IRPA, and processing of your application will be prioritized

Thank you so much PMM!!

My job offer is actually very genuine and I struggled a lot with shcooling and recruiting, volunteering, internship, and studying CGA courses to get this job offer. I will have lots of details to provide Immigration Canada:)

So it is 6 to 12 months..I would guess then.
Oh, I am sick of international student's life here. LOL.

Maybe I better start to prepare all the documents as soon as I send out my application.
I am planning to send out my application this week without lawyer or consultant.
So nervous! This website is all I got.

Malli,
Did you mean that you applied PR as skilled worker without AEO but with job experence as bookkeeper?
Is it not gonna work? I dont know too much but I wish you the best!!

For AEO....

You need to find employer first and ask him to apply AEO with your name on the applicatoin.
(LMO is a lot better if u get, but these days..people say 99% are getting refused...so I gave up LMO, and I am broke with no job :)

There are agencies connect you with employers and help you apply for AEO, PR, most of them are pretty expensive if they are good or some are fraud.)

If you dont want agencies, I guess you personally need to come here first.
Oh,maybe there are other ways,,,,but for me, that is the only way I know.
Pay tuition rather than paying agencies.

I came to Canada as a student first, I met my employer while I was doing internship.

if you are an experienced bookkeeper and if you can deal with accounting softwares,
such as Quickbooks, Simply accounting,
it is not too difficult to find a job or employer
but I am not saying you will make good money though, we need CGA or CA to make some money eventually.

If you just wanna be a bookkeeper here in Canada..
I dont know in other provice, but in BC, life is not so fancy with $15-16 an hour.
Just a life with paycheck to paycheck cause things are pretty expensive here.

not really big merits coming to Canada personally. cause Getting PR is not the goal, happy life is the goal.

so I recommed you to study here anyways. Some companies may consider u as expereinced though but not liscenced. hard to make more than 16 an hour without Canadian education.

If you are from India, East Indian employers would need to hire you cause you are bi-langual. that can be the first starting point.
Sometimes English as Second Lanugage helps..(but not always..)

You may include your resume, Enligh test score, education record, letter of recommendation from your previos job with job duty and salary included. and Your emplyer should provided you job offer letter, t4 summary of last year, lease agreement or business liscense when you are sending out the application. Send out As much as you can support your skills to persuade HRSDC.

And try not to be too typical.
My job duty was copied and pasted from NOC, they didnt like it at first,
we sent out detailed and specific job duty again. and they accepted. Time line is as I mentined above.

Hope these helps!

Best of Luck!
