got a visitor VISA for 2 years

I got a visitor VISA for 2 years (I think it is because my husband applied to sponsorship me). What can I do with this VISA? I am from Montreal.

Completely confused here....if you are from Montreal, why would you require a Visitor's Visa?

I am not Canadian, but currently I am in Montreal. I applied to extension my visitor status (after first six months) and got the visitor visa for 2 years.

So You came to canada and got 6 months? and then you applied for ext, did you ask for 2 years or they gave it to you as I have heard they do give 2 years for parents visa as ext
