I applied for GCMS notes 2 months back and I still did not receive it. The reason that they gave is because I am lying and trying just to move to Canada. Now in my home country should I go and opt for education (which I am currently doing) or can I start working and find a job( which I have yet to find)? Which will be helpful for my international visas? I applied for my study Visa on November 17th 2020 I got rejection on November 1st 2021. I got admission in to the college on November 2019. The whole covid and everything effected me and made me into a victim(which I hate to be)

What were full reasons? IRCC usually doesn't say that you are lying in its refusal reasons. What is your full profile - age, program, education etc.

They mentioned these in my refusal letter. "Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit
application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet
the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and
Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of: your qualifications, previous
studies, mark sheets, academic record, level of establishment and/or your future prospects and
plans.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can
demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be
accompanied by a new processing fee."

Don’t see anything about lying or misrepresentation. What program/school? What is your education and grades? What is your job now?

What did you write in your LoE? Did you provide valid reasons for opting this very particular program as opposed to a PG program or a degree? What exactly were you doing from 2019 to the date of your application? You've already completed a Bachelor's degree in a related program but you still want to pursue a diploma. Does this program has courses that you've already studied in your bachelors?

I got suggestions that it is better to opt for supply chain management so I went with that course first. Latter I wanted to change to electromechanical systems back because I did a ph diploma course in my home country. Which gave me the insight on how a practical approach of learning will help me to get ready fo the industry. Anyways there's a delay in my Visa so I changed my college and course. Holland college has more hands on teaching options in their curriculum.

I'm sorry but I am having trouble understanding your current status. Have you already reapplied for Canadian study visa after getting refused once or are you considering to reapply?

  • My current visa status- refused not yet reapplied
  • It took almost an year to get a decision on my Visa file.
  • When my Visa decision is still on hold I raised a web form informing that I want to change my DLI
  • I am planning to reapply again once I get admission in Holland college

Alright, now I understand your situation. Based on the timeline of your previous application, it is clear that your decision on your file took a while because of the pandemic situation at that time. It doesn't take that long these days. Moreover, the program that you're planning to reapply with already seems like a much better option than the previous one. You'll have to work on your profile a bit smarter this time. Since you're waiting for the offer letter, I would suggest you to pursue online programs or certificate courses from platforms like Coursera etc. in your relevant field just so you keep yourself busy and have these certifications to attach to your file so that the VO sees that you were not just sitting at your home while doing nothing. You have to prove that you're indeed a bona fide student. You will have to write an exceptional letter of explanation covering all of the shortcomings in your profile. Furthermore, you will have to explain why you are now changing college and course all together BUT If you've already done a PG diploma here in India after completing your bachelors then it's no good as it makes your profile super complicated as there's no sense in pursuing another diploma and it's clear as daylight to the VO that your sole purpose is to immigrate. You should have opted for a masters degree.

If you apply to Holland College, you most likely will be refused again. That is a diploma program requiring secondary school education and you have a bachelors. It doesn’t expand or build on your education. You have a degree so should be applying for a post graduate program like a Masters.

So I was bad at my grades and terrible at my learning curve. So if opt for a master's it's nothing but tedious torture so I opted for a diploma. 2 of my friends with work experience and degree got Visa approval for the same opportunity. They have better grades too compared to mine.

Then look at post grad diplomas or certificates, not a diploma program requiring secondary education for admission. You need to show education advancement.
