How do i know where i can do it? Can i do it in Calgary?
waiting time for what? if i cross at a US/Canada border it will be instant?
So - to clarify! :) CIC sends you the COPR at the address indicated on your application, for you it seems like it's in Canada.
Then you have to "land" ( complete landing procedures), and you can do that two different ways:
-either exit Canada at the nearest border (probably US) - it's called flagpoling. You don't even have to enter the US if you don't want to. You go to the border, tell them you want to "land as a PR", and they will direct you to the immigration office where they will check your identity, ask you a few questions about where to send the PR card etc, stamp your COPR, and that's it - done! :) quite easy.
-or: you can land at one of the CIC offices. You need to book an appointment, and it might take a while to get one, as offices are busy. You can try calling the CIC number indicated, or check here http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/contact/listing/indexpages/indextype38-e.html and call one of the offices. Some people say that you can do it at an international airport but I have never seen anybody doing it (apart from coming from outside of Canada, of course) so that's not really an option.
there again - you will have a "landing interview", which is pretty much checking that you are the right person ( bring your passport and the COPR), then checking with you that they have the correct address to send you your PR card (about 2 months later), and maybe giving you a few documents "Welcome to Canada" type...

that's it! you're almost done, good luck with the final stage!
