Got a follow up call after 44(1) report

The general PR card renewal processing time is 31 days. My application was filed 2 months ago.

My lawyer says that my renewal application included the explanation of HC grounds and other details so it might take upto a year for processing my application.

We got a request for medical in Feb that we submitted. Nothing much after that. Still waiting. It's almost a year since we submitted the application

That is just normal processing and the file may have been put on hold until you received PR card renewal based on H&C so processing may have primarily started in May.
