Got a 2nd Medical request even though CIC received the first one is this normal

so i just got another request for a medical for my mrs

i dont get it ... the last msg on the CIC site said that medical request have been received and CIC asked for a Medical in 2021. So if a year has crossed and its not the applicants or sponsors fault we still have to get a medical done ?

i believe the medicals are only valid for a year ?

is this a good sign a bad sign ? all i know at the moment is that they looked at our file finally and just requested a new medical.

So latest update everyone hoping to get some insight in the last month got medical done and the week after just got a reply saying passport on file is expired so I just sent my Mrs renewed passport through my Immigration consults that I'm using .. they do say this is good what should I expect next and what time line should it be .. fingers crossed hoping and praying for the best
