Goods to follow? What does that mean?

It means what you are bringing with you,like furniture,car,etc

Good to follow lists are for after you get your PR. When you get your visa, you will 'land' in Canada. If you don't bring in everything you want to bring at that time, you put it on the list so you can bring it later without paying taxes.

What if I'm already in Canada so I won't have anything to bring when I land at Niagara Falls border, do I still need to submit Goods to Follow list?

Alisa- if your not bringing anything then you wont have anything to put on the list, no. But if theres something you plan on bringing over from your home country then i'd deff make sure you put it on the list!

Sorry to hijack this but to avoid starting another new thread - if my things are packed in my home country and im here 'visiting' how am i meant to get serial numbers for the packed ps2, dvd player and tv? is it absolutely essential cause like...i really can't get that now, my family will be overseeing the shipping when it comes to that!

I don't know, Silver.. I'm in the act of packing everything up now and I'm making my goods to follow list now so that it will be good to go.. maybe your family could get the numbers for you? You only need them for higher end things.

You are shipping goods? Is it really worth the cost over driving it over? If I can avoid a 10 hour (1 way) drive to get my stuff I will!

Well the tv is still in its origional box so hopefully we can get that ones number! (Ive told the hubb i probably wont even work but he still insists lol)

Maybe since the dvd player n ps2 are so old now they wont bother (ive seen them for $10 here!). I checked out the cost difference between flying them and sending them on a boat and its so much cheaper by boat so figured i'd go ahead and do it that way when the time comes, assuming of course immigration dont limit my options!
