I suppose if the goos arrive on the same day that you land, then you would put them down as goods accompanying. If they arrive a day after you land, then they would be goods to follow.

Air shipments would be quite expensive. Have you checked about sending it via container ship? You will probably get a much better rate, although it will take longer to arrive.

You can easily google everything to find out the information, but just to let you know, my wife checked with a few different international shipping companies, and to ship a few items (medium sized), it would be about $2,000. If you can, I would bring it as checked baggage on the flight.

All the UN-accompanied shipments ( Air cargo and sea cargo) are "goods to follow", which are arrived at the customs cargo warehouse. You cannot get it at the airport while you land. You wil will be notified by the shipping and clearing agents in Canada up on the arrival of cargo by phone or mail. Therefore if you have an un accompanied cargo shipment, definitely you need to prepare the Goods to follow (B4 form) and get it stamped by CBSA while landing.

Air cargo rates are more higher than sea cargo. You can get the details of local shipping agents from any travel agent in your town.
