My husband (from the UK) and I submitted our inland forms in September 2010. Following the estimated processing times, we were expecting to hear back around now, or within a few weeks, so I wasn't hugely surprised to receive a call from the CIC on Tuesday. The agent called me at work because my husband had not picked up when she called his cell number. I gave her the number to get him at work - she paused before going off the line and asked why we had different home phone numbers; I explained that they were cell numbers, like so many of our generation, we simply don't have a land line.

Anyway, she called him immediately afterwards and just had a couple of questions about our OWP application - apparently we'd missed a couple of check-boxes, but no big deal she just asked him the questions and ticked themf or him, I guess. I don't know exactly what was said at this ponit, but she said something about putting through AIP and said goodbye.

Which all sound great. And it actually gets better.

I checked e-CAS today, and it's showing "decision made" not only on the sponsorship part of the application, but on the PR as well!

My only question is: is this sort of quick turnaround normal? I'm worried that it might mean that the sponsorship was actually denied (although I have no idea why that would be the cae) and tha'ts why the PR was dcided so quickly (since we checked the box to cancel the PR applicaiton in case of sponsorship denial.

So, has anyone had experience being lied/given false hope to on the phone in casof denial, or ideally, if I could hear from someone with a similar quick processing anda positive result, it would ease my incredible paranoia.. I feel like we've waited so long and are so so close to not having to worry, and don't really want to think abotu what an upheaval it would be to get a denial at this piont.

When you click the decision made it will bring you to another window. If you can write here what's on the page we can help you out based on our own experience with E-cas

Hi lovely:

Here's the quote from e-CAS:

We received X's application for permanent residence on September 10, 2010.

We started processing X's application on October 29, 2010 *(they didn't really start processing at this time, but it is when they added the OWP to the package)*

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made and X will be contacted.

We sent X a letter on June 14, 2011 to ******* Toronto, Ontario, Canada,*** about the decision on the application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us.

Congratulations! You've been approved for both stages. You received AIP and PR at the same time which is what weve being seen for inland applications lately!

Thanks so much!
I don't know why I've let myself worry so much about this. now I just need to wait out this mail strike, I guess. :)

Sounds like good new to me kweirley! Congrats!

How can we see from the part where they clicked in, and pasted the letter, that it was approved?
Im just curious so I know what to expect if I see something like this... what would it say if it was a denial?

From my personal experience, they would not deny anyone without an interview, I've yet to see a "Decision Made" and the person comes back after few weeks and say "They denied me", so usually a Decision Made on eCAS is good news always IMO.
