Nothing to celebrate!! You get 30 points if you have studied for 3 years in Canada. If you studied for 2 years then only 15 points which is completely bullshit.

Secondly, the O level job is the top most job in any company. How will you assume a International student getting that job? Do you think companies hire someone directly as their Managing Director? You need 5-10 years experience, so how international students can get these 200 points?

It's totally bad news for international students. Almost they have done nothing.

Yep, this is not good news from my point of view either. I was hoping to bank 600 points to boost my Express Entry profile. With only 50 I've got no chance of ever being selected.

LMIA is such a difficult thing to get in the first place and it has no value at all. That;s really sad :-\ ???

Can anyone explain this concept of Lima? I know what it is, but my question is..I am a financial services representative in a bank. That's clearly given in skill B category. But my bank will never do that whole procedure of Lima (advertising for the post before hiring me, etc). So does that qualify as offer of a skilled job, or doesn't? What if the job is in the NOC list but the company doesn't do LMIA?

LMIA- Labor Market Impact assesment
for this employer should justify labor market that why he needs this employee, what special skills & talent he has.
Its quite tough, till now very few people got this. you can say only 2% from outside Canada

^^^ thanks for your reply. But I think I need to be more precise in my question.

I am a financial services representative with a bank. It falls in skill B category. But it is not supported by LMIA.
1. Is it a qualifying job offer for the purpose of Canadian experience class? Similarly can I count this experience as skilled work experience, if more than one year?
2. How many points does it get me? 50? (Not expecting more but does it at least get me 50?)

I've always been confused about skilled job offer vs LMIA supported job offer.
Thanks in advance.

1. Yes, you qualify for CEC if you have at least one year experience in skill B job.
2. No, you are not eligible to claim ANY points for job offer unless it is supported by LMIA OR you are working on a LMIA exempt occupation (NAFTA, international agreements )

But would these changes lead to decremented of the points needed to be selected from the pool?

yes its obvious because in 31000 issued ITA's till now 46 % of them are through LMIA (inside Canada). If there is decrease in points then it will decrease CRS points in upcoming draws.

So, the following question on the CRS points calculator:
Do you have a valid job offer supported by an LMIA (if needed)?
A valid job offer must be
a. - full time
b. - in a skilled job listed as Skill Type O, or Skill Level A or B
c. - supported by a LMIA or exempt from needing one
d. - for one year from the time you become a permanent resident.

I should answer the above question as NO, even though I satisfy sub-point (b) (skilled job listed as B), because I don't satisfy sub-point (c) (LMIA)?

Yes, It must be a NO, because you are not working on a LMIA exempt occupation.
If your work permit has your employer's name on it, then you can select YES
