dear enfield, can you provide a source for this information.

Is it possible to put off application under SPP second time ?
My friends, there was some mistake on my part and I must clarify it now. Just now I searched VFS website and found “NEW Rules for SPP” applicable since “September 2011” and it’s clearly mentioned as follows:
“ • New requirement, beginning for September 2011 entry applications: those who have previously been refused any Canadian study permit application are not eligible to apply under SPP.”
When I applied in May 2011, I myself noticed one provision for SPP applicants which clearly states that an applicant under SPP can apply only once “in 12 months period” and I am still affirmed on it. But now since “September 2011”, the rule has changed under which an applicant under SPP won’t get more thn one chance. (and I was not aware of this “new rule” because these NEW rules are in effect since SEPTEMBER 2011 and I am not keeping in touch with any changes in rules since May 2011)
Not even this “New Rule”, today I have also noticed few other new rules which were not mentioned explicitly on the “Student Checklist” during the month of May 2011.
Like,
1. False statements or submission of fraudulent documents will result in immediate refusal.
2. After submission of all required documents you may be required to attend an interview.
3. Any preparations you make, such as paying administration or tuition fees, are done entirely at your own risk.
4. SPP applicants can undergo Up-Front Medical examinations,
As far as I remember, during the period of May, only General applicants were allowed to undergo Pre Medical, but now the same has been extended to SPP as well.
So, sorry for this goof up
