My study permit and Visa are expiring next week (at 3/2) . 2.5 months ago I applied for study permit extension and it's still being processed. Recently I received my J1 Visa for US and I'm going for an internship from 3/2 (The same day that my study permit expires) to 5/15. My flight to US is gonna be 2/29.
The question is:
1. If for any reason (despite having a valid J1 visa and required documents) they deny me for entering to US, does Canada allow me to return? Given that my study permit and visa are expiring two days later ? Because I had heard that when the expiration is close, there might be a problem sometimes. Albeit I have applied for extension and I don't know if that helps.
2. Is there any way to get my study permit in the Canada border? For instance explaining to them that I have to leave the country and I have already applied for extension and I need to obtain my study permit before the end of my internship so I can return back to Canada. Do they cooperate in these cases?
3. Can I receive my study permit extension while I'm in US? Do they send it to US? Because I have already filled the address in the corresponding forms to be my place in Canada. Can I submit a web form or something like that and ask them to send my new study permit to US?
