Hello, there!!

Can anybody enlighten me!? When we apply for a sponsorship outland being abroad and I want to go to Canada to wait for my COPR there.. when I find out I do not need to come for an interview to my VO?? Will my VO or CIC notify me if the interview is waived?? I would not want to come all the way from Canada to Warsaw.

Thanks! :)

if you are visa exempt, you can come visit canada anytime during the application process. generally, at entry cbsa will want to see "proof of ties" to your home country (housing/employment), and it's important to know you are only "visiting" canada until you are approved as pr. many applicants do this without issue. if you plan to be in canada when your application is approved, you will want to change your address to the canadian one. the address CIC has is the address they will send your approval paper to.

Generally, applicants are only notified when they are called in for an interview. other wise, the applicant will just receive their approval paper.

Usually the interview is to prove that the relationship between the applicant and sponsor is legitimate. If you have big differences (age, religion, etc.) that can raise a few eyebrows but as long as you have your ducks in a row with many proofs and that sort of thing, you should be ok. But unfortunately, it's all up to the officer who has the file and the parameters set in their training. But try not to worry if you have a lot of proof.

Well I have got a good amount of pictures. Also lots of facebook.com posts.. skype, facebook.com chat screen shots. Letters from his family, our former employer..

My husband is 10 years older than me.. I am 26.. he is 36.. I think it's relevant. But then again.. I am muslim but my husband agnostic. Could that be an issue? I am not really practicing my religion like others.. me and my parents don't go to the mosk.. we dress up like western people.. I was born in a western country. But we do believe in our God, don't eat pork.. My husband on the contrary denies any religion.. We argue over it time after time. Will that be suspecious?

not likely. it's important to understand what *we* may consider a red flag in our file most likely will not be seen as a red flag to cic. for most visa offices, a majority of applicants are waived the interview. relax.
