Going India on implied status

Hi friends
I have one question as per my conversation with one immigration consultant.They told me if you are on implied status you can’t apply for pgwp while waiting for the approval of study permit extension.As my study permit and trv have expired on same time on 30 December.I have already got my graduation letter and transcripts as well.They told me that you can leave country on expired trv and after reaching your country first you have to wait for study permit extension to get approved and then you can apply trv and after getting trv you can apply your pgwp.

You don't need to wait for the study permit extension approval and certainly don't need to wait for a TRV approval.

If you called IRCC, you spoke to a poorly trained call centre agent, not an immigration officer. Others have applied while on Implied Status. The TRV has zero to do with status in Canada, so if someone told you that you have to wait for a TRV before applying for a PGWP, they really don't know what they are talking about.

yes that is one of the eligibility requirement to apply for pgwp . you must hold a valid study permit at some point to apply for pgwp that is a statement on IRCC website.
