Going from an IEC work visa to a Young Professionals Visa

Hi,

I read somewhere on this forum that there was a 3 month timeframe where you had to wait after your iec work visa expired before you could apply for a Young Professionals visa, but I couldn't find anything on cic regarding this. Could someone please confirm?

My work visa expired at the start of September and I am on a tourist visa waiting on a PNP application, but I'm not confident I will get PNP so in the meantime I'd like to hedge my bets and apply for a young professionals visa through my current workplace.

What would be the course of action - wait until the 3 month mark to apply, or would I be able to apply now?

G'day, I'm Aussie too haha! I haven't read anything about such a time frame. If this three-month timeframe is not there on the government website then what you heard was bs. Are you able to apply for CEC if you did skilled work during your IEC?
