You probably are, since the processing time for Sao Paulo is 5-7 months for 80% of the applications, and by not submitting the medical with the application, you probably increased that time frame a bit. The medicals will be send to Port of Spain, not Sao Paulo and the results should be available about 30 days after the DMP sends them to POS.

i fed ex them right to sao paulo, the doctor said he sent them and we have the tracking of it long ago but Sao Paulo said they never recieved them, So i resent them right to sao paulo

^^^^^ Love does crazy things to you, doesn't it?

I'm sorry your wife is so upset, causing you all this distress. I try really hard to stay upbeat and positive when I am speaking with my husband. Sometimes while on Skype I will tell him how much I miss him, and I feel the tears start to come and my chest gets tight and I just need to quickly change the subject.

I also have three kids who really need their step-father in their life. They are great kids, but could benefit so much from his love and guidance. He loves them so much and it kills him not to be able to be with them, so the heartbreak is multiplied in our house.

I hope your case processes quickly and you are able to be with your wife soon.

I know how u are feeling
but u sent the application only in feb...there are tons of people in the forum with ur same status who sent the application in November or December and still no news so....
Anyway why ur wife does not come here with u?
She s not oblige to come back to brazil or the visa
in Rome s office u can send ur passport by mail with fed ex and they provide everything

Note the OP's spouse is Brazilian, and she requires a TRV (visitor visa) for Canada. It is unlikely one will be issued with a Canadian spouse and an application in progress. Most EU citizens don't require TRVs to visit Canada.

You are exactly right PMM if it was that easy me and you would have done it long ago.
And yes she has a boy 4 years ols and i have been with her since he was 2 so he only knows me as dad as his real father has never tried to see him ,contact him,or even support him since he was born.I have been paying for his school, medical, bus to school, clothing, food and what ever else he requires.
As far as he is concerned his dad lives in Canada as he keeps telling everyone and to make it worse on my wife he is a little boy so he asks every morning when he is going to Canada and when im coming to get him.
i Also have three girls that are young and ask evey weekend when i pick them up when they are coming if it is soon blah blah,
We tried for a visa before we were married but not a lot of Brazilians have much, like homes,or money in the bank.So the visa would have never been approved and now that we are in process she would never get one.
And yes i know its only been three months since it was started,i know it will likely be a few more months but its hard to hear her cry, sniffle, and see her on skype crying so hard, but i know it will be soon so just have to bite it and wait.

I was only 500 miles away in the US. But I clearly remember the many nights talking to my gf/wife on Skype with a dial-up connection none the less. Often we would fall asleep that way.

We have been together (same house) for eight months. My biggest stressor is not being able to work to support my new family. However the thought of going back to the States in order to work (while the PR is in process) is frightening to say the least.

Love sure does strange things at times....

Well sog
When you do get your PR and you are able to work then you just tell your wife when that happens you will work your but off to help, there is not much more you can do right now.Unless you do it illegally so....?
Sometimes you just have to take the bad with the good.Bad you cant work good you are together.

I know about saying goodbye. Its the hardest thing I have ever had to do, watch him turn his back and the last wave before he got on the plane to go back to Canada. I cried for weeks, I still do even though it was four months ago. The tears just start streaming down.
It is one of the reasons why I am going to be applying for a TRV and getting married and applying Inland. Just praying that it will all go smoothly and that we can stay together for the whole process.
I feel you and your wife's pain, its so hard to handle at times. I pray that it will happen soon for the both of you.

I know what you mean Lindz. As soon as I see my husband the time ticks away to when I will be leaving, and a black cloud follows us for the remainder of my time there. When its about a week before I leave it starts and we can barely talk without crying just thinking about that dreadful day I have to go back and not knowing when i will be returning. Its hell. he cries as hard as I did. This whole immigration process is very hard on the heart.

iarblue, i know how your wife and you feel. me and my hubby got married in russia in the beginning of december on his bday and he left for canada right away. haven't seen him for 5 months now..and we only applied 3 weeks ago. before that we hadn't seen each other for 11 months. I don't know when he will be approved and when our case will be finalized - Moscow office takes a very long time. So we probably not be able to be together for our first anniversary. And yes - i was denied a visitor's visa though I had lots of proves.
What makes it worse is the fact that there is 11 hour difference between my place and his place. it does not make being away from each other better:( it's hard to catch up online because whe he has to go to bed i am rushing to work and vice versa. there is always someone who is in the wors situation than you.

iarblue, there is no point in crying hard and being upset. try to look at the situation from a different angle. u have gone through so much and your docs will be finalized soon before you know it. not everyone is as lucky as u r to have their docs approved so quick. crying won't help the situation - be optimistic and be happy that u have found each other and soon will start a new life together. tell your wife to enjoy living in the homecountry and remember everything and spend as much time with her family and friends as possible because soon she will move to Canada. tell her to earn english and french and teach it her little baby too - it will make time go by faster. tell her what you will do when she comes to you, where you will take them etc.
good luck and be positive!!!
