Hi everyone,
I have a situation here, so this june i am going back to Philippines this June. I currently have an Open Work Permit and valid Temporary Resident Visa. I am also unemployed at the moment.
So, I have heard from a friend that in order to re-enter Canada I need to be employed or else I will not be allowed to re-enter Canada.
So here is my question, is the information from my friend correct?
I need to clear this question before I leave the country. I would appreciate any help here.
Thank you very much!

Kris :)

As far as I know, you need to be employed. Kasi you'll be needing a certificate of employment para ipakita na may babalikan kang work dito sa Canada. Where did you get an OWP? is it from spousal sponsorship or a different category? kung caregiver ka naman, baka naman pwede mo pakiusapan yung dati mong employer to give you a certificate of employment na ikaw eh magbabakasyon lang at babalik din sa ganitong date... ganun! :)

ganun kasi ginawa nung friend ko dati.

Hi,

I suggest don't go to Philippines not until you have a new employer coz you have an open work permit. You may encounter problem when you enter Canada and exit in NAIA, Philippines. How will you get OEC if you don't have current contract for applying Balik-Manggagawa? Don't risk your situation :)

Thanks Charmaine and Buleg, Yes I was a caregiver. Yes, I could probably ask my previous employer dun s Certificate of Employment. But regarding that alam mo b kung ano dapat ilagay dun Certificate?

This is to verify that (your name) is currently employed as caregiver and is paid ($ salary ) per hour.

He is going to visit his home country from to ____. And will be back to work on ____.

Parang ganyan lng :)

Ilang years ka na ba wala sa Pinas? ang PDOS certificate kasi is good for 5 years... so kung lagpas na dun I think mag PPDOS ka ulit.... pero iconfirm mo din pagdating sa Pinas :)

more than 3 years na. so I guess I'm ok with that then. And yes idouble check ko when I get there. Thanks ulit.
