Hey Guys,

So, quick question, I land into Canada from the US and do all the paperwork then go back to the US. I still need to sell some things in the US to finally move back to Canada and I have family and friends In canada that can send me back the PRC. I've heard horror stories that sometimes the pictures don't work and you have to submit them again or something, how can I re enter Canada without it? I heard a travel permit is required, but my question is, I heard that if I do a border crossing by land from the US I don't need it, just my COPR/Landing record? Is this correct?

If the person who receive your PR card from his mail box in Canada can send it to you by courier, it is more comfortable for you.
In case there is photo specification problem, CIC will send request to you on the given Canadian address. You can mail the photo to CIC from out side Canada. But very rarely such problem occurs.

You could be admitted to Canada with a copy of your COPR if you arrive at the border from USA by road on on private vehicle but as per CIC rule you need a PRTD for re-entering Canada in lieu of PR Car

Hi Maq0r,
I also have the same problem.I landed in September and till today i have not received PR card yet. is there any contact number i can call to find out? i landed in Calgary

Thanks and waiting..

If you don't have the PR card, it is better to obtain a travel document / multiple entry visa for 6 months in case someone wishes to go back and forth between U.S Canada. PR card is usually automatically sent to the address mentioned in the "landing" documents / COPR.

I and family landed in Sept 2011 and had given my friend's address but the PR did not arrive may be because my friend's landlord might have said no one lives in the address by that name. After we moved to Edmonton a couple of weeks ago, I sent an email to CIC giving my new address and they responded with 3 days that my address has been updated in their system and they sent the PR to me within a week after that.

Hope this helps
