Hello

I hope everyone is staying home and safe during these horrid times!

I have a couple questions that goes all over different categories and am hoping to get partial answers from the different threads.

My current status is that I am on a PGWP which ends on June 7th, 2020. I also got my ITA from Express Entry Program that I just finished submitting all the required documents last week.
I know I can get the extension for another year on the work permit because I graudated from a 4 year (notable) university but my passport ends on that date, hence the early expiration date for work permit. My passport is on its way from my home country as we speak.

As I am living in Canada during this time of pandemic, I really want to go back to my home country (korea) just until this situation cools and that in the case I get sick, I do not want to take up a bed at a hospital in a country that is not mine. I optimistically believe that the situation will get better by the end of this month or May as people are keeping their distance and staying home on top of wearing masks.

From Canada's website, I believe PGWP falls under temporary foreign workers and are allowed to come back to Canada. I also want to mention, I still have my job and will be using my vacation. (I work as an office administrator / teacher at a learning institution)

My question goes as follows:
1. Once I get my new passport and apply for an extension on my PGWP right away, will I be able to enter Canada before my work permit ends? (June 7th) I am planning on leaving on April 20 ish and coming back on May 26 or 28th.

2. If I do comeback, since my work permit has not expired and I got back into the country before it expires (and have already applied for extension), will I be able to continue working? I read that if I come back after the permit has expired, I wont be allowed to work until a decision has been made on the permit.

3. Will me leaving and coming back to Canada have an affect on my Express Entry application process? (submission of required douments and payment ahs been processed)

4. Is there a direct line I can call at the immigrations to get specific answers to questions like these? I think I've read pretty much every link that's provided in the IRCC website.

5. Are all entry decisions made by border control officers when re-entering Canada at the airport?

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING MY LONG STORY.

I'm not certain about 1 and 2 but leaving and entering won't have any impact on PR application. For 1 and 2 also I think you can enter but I was never on WP so I'm not certain.

4. Check IRCC website but I doubt your call will go through in these days as I believe call volumes may be high.

5. Yes

Just clarifying that you completed 2 years of PGWP when you qualified for 3.
