I received GMCS note today and I'm a bit freaked out right now.

My timeline is on the side. Here is my situation.

My convocation is Nov 16 2011
I got employment reference letter dated Sep 14 2012.

Yes, I should have applied after Nov 16 2012, however I didn't know they count from either graduation date or work permit issue date, whichever is later. Not know this, I counted from my work permit which is earlier and now I end up I don't have enough experience according to the GMCS note.

I realized my mistake a few weeks after receiving AOR. I quickly sent them a new updated employment letter dated Nov 19 2012 which would make my work experience more than 12 months, and explained in details that that I have made a honest mistake and I indeed have been working. Hoping they would consider, cause there is nothing else I could do at that point.

And also I notice they calculate from graduation date until the end date of my contract (june 30 2012), even though the letter of employment dated 3 months later than that date (Sep 14 2012), and I did specify in the letter that I was still working and contract had been extended until March 2013.

The file is now "REVIEW REQUIRED" status (updated May 2 2013) and being transfer to Ottawa from CIO with a reason as Eligibility . What does that mean ? Any one ever in this situation ? Please share if you have been rejected, accepted ? Is this for sure a rejection ?

I would say the go and.cancel your file if u don't mind.waiting again for a year.. as it is better than a refuse

Sadly for you it is very very unlikely they will take into account your new ref. letter which shows experience beyond the date the application was received. Chances are it will be refused.

You can either wait and hope for the best (which is unlikely) or cancel your application and submit a new one.

If you are Lucky enough, they will review it for good..
Most likely its rejection because they don`t consider updated Job Letters, Technically they are not supposed to consider..
If they start considering updated Letters than everyone can apply before they are eligible to save time and can send updated letters later with new Date.
I would suggest you to start gathering your documents again..
But Exceptions are always there, Be Positive.. Good Luck..

I suggest one thing: get a university letter which indicates when you were considered to have completed requirements for your degree the day you completed all your exams. This would be a date earlier than when you actually had the ceremony/diploma. Your only chance here is if they consider you were not "full-time student" from an earlier date so they can count the work experience you had prior to convocation.

I got the rejection for same reason. They never mentioned any where that full time experience wll be counted after degree is conferred or after PGWP is obtained . I started calculation my full time experience after I completing my studies. Now I am going to re-file.

I got rejection and VO gave me exact same reason. I started calculating my experience after I got the letter from the university which stated that I completed all my requirement. But visa officer started calculating my full time experience after Degree was conferred.

same thing happens to me

Another person gladaki was in a similar situation as you and got rejected after more than 12 month of wait

I would honestly suggest you to withdraw application and re-apply instead of wasting more time waiting for certain rejection

I was one day short of experience... my GMCS note mentioned that and review required was also noted there.. I got my PPR yesterday...
I added new reference letter just after a month of the first submission of application... hope same will happen to you.. best of luck...

Let me understand if the below dates are correct:

Your convocation date is Nov 16 2011.
You filed your application on 26-Sept-2013
You initially submitted employment reference letter dated Sep 14 2012.
You later submitted employment letter dated Nov 19 2012.

If this information is correct, I don't see issue with your application because at the time of submission of your application i.e 26-Sept-2013, you had more than 12 months experience. Your updated reference letter should be enough.

If you're talking about OP, that was posted in July 2013 - someone just revived an old thread

Oh dang. I guess I shouldnt really be surprised....but still, 1 day eh! My friends were told by CIC call center that CPP-O wouldnt care if you are missing 1 day. Just goes to show how much they know. Pfffffff ::)

Did you submit additional evidence after GCMS notes? Or did they just consider that new reference letter you sent after 1 month?

I dont know whether they have considered my updated reference letter on not... I have sent them the reference letter before getting the GMCS notes. I had just added my daughter's birth certificate in July... thats it...
