Hi,

I know not all colleges/universities require GMAT, some require it, some prefer it, others don't require it. My question is:

1) If I apply for an MBA at a public university and get admission as well, what are my chances of getting a student visa? Reason I ask is I've heard visa officers don't like students who haven't taken/passed any standardized tests such as GMAT.

2) What are the chances of getting a permanent residence (PR) if I study in any of the provinces such as Alberta, BC, etc....Is there any faster/automatic way of getting PR once I complete my program? I came across this link: http://www.aved.gov.bc.ca/provincialnominee/strategicoccupations/internationalgraduates.htm

Thanks for all your help.

Best,

Vish

As for your questions, i think i can help to answer question 1:

Admissions officers do not really bother much with yr GMAT or standarized test as long as you can produce yr admission letters from the universities that u have applied and have been admitted.

Student visas are issued based on yr admission letters and yr financial statements or yr ability to pay for the years that u need to study in Canada.

they dont need ur gmat or any other test except toefl or ielts. u only need to show ur university admission letter.
