Hi Friends,
I have received a job offer from an employer in Vancouver. They want me to start ASAP and for that reason the HR person mentioned that they will be applying for a work visa under the Global Talent Stream (GTS) since the PR LMIA is a time consuming process.
I have done some research but there is not much information on the GTS. I have an active PR profile with 437 points and don't see the score dropping to that level.
Couple of key questions:
1. Will I have to wait for 1 year to gain Canada experience and therefore use those points for the PR?
2. Is there any other way that I can start the PRT process while on the GTS?
3. Is there any way I can avoid the LMIA and still secure the PR
4. Do I need an LMIA for BC PNP?
5. Will my wife and child be able to come with me and can my wife work on a GTS?
6. Pros and Cons of GTS
Please feel free to respond to these questions or any others comments you might have.
Thanks!
