Is it better to give home address or email when filling up sponsership forms for both sponser and applicant?

What do you people usually give for correspondence when canadian immigration needs to contact the applicant/sponser?

Thanks..

Hi and welcome

You most certainly have to provide your physical address. In some applications you will be asked how do you prefer to be contacted by CIC. In this case its up to you. You might here declare your email or your home address. I would recomend you to give them your email for faster response.

Regards

You must give your home address, this is not an option.

You have the choice to provide your email address. If you do, communication to you from CIC will be instantly via email, rather than having to wait weeks for a letter to arrive. So it's HIGHLY recommended you include an email address. Also make sure it's a permanent one that has no chance to be cancelled (like if you need to switch internet service providers).

Thanks Rob_TO & Messenger.

The Form that I am referring to is IM0008,- question for "Contact Information" on Page 2. It says "current mailing address" and at the end there is an email address box as well. Shall I put both mailing address and email address?

I'll repeat what was said... you MUST include a mailing/home address. This is not an option to leave blank.

It states about the email address right on the form:
- all correspondence will go to this address unless you indicate your email address below
- indicating an email address with authorize all correspondence, including file and personal info, to be sent to the email address you specify

Do you want to get correspondence from CIC by email? If yes, include your email address. If you want snail-mail for everything, don't include it. It's your option.

Need help with Inland Application IMM 0008 form, etc.!!!

Hi all,
Probably going to have a lot of questions coming your way-all help would be beyond appreciated! Sending Inland spousal sponsorship paperwork out next week....

1. IMM 0008-Generic Application Form for Canada- Box 10...
Would my current info be as stated below if I am living in Canada, "moved" here Jan 1, 2013?
Country of Residence: Canada
Status: Visitor
Dates I have lived here: From 2013-01-01 To ?

Would this "to" date be until my visitor visa expires, even though I'll be getting an extension after my 6 months visitor visa is up? Or would it be the date we send off our application because that's the amount of time I've been residing in Canada?

2. My address on my physical with the panel physician was my husbands parents place being that we were staying with them until we found our own place.... That was sent off before we moved into our new place. On all of my inland application stuff it is our new address? I have receipt of my physical with old address on it to send in with my application? Should I make note of address change anywhere else?

How does a National Identity Document apply to me as a US citizen? Does this mean my social security card? Drivers License? Or am I exempt from putting anything?

Thank you ahead of time all!!!
Also, does my height have to be exact in box 5 on IMM 0008 as it was on my physical with Panel Physician? Do not have this documentation any from my physical any longer...

Please forward this message into an appropriate thread so you can have many people to look it over and get valid answers.

For example.
If you are outland and you know which Visa Office you are try to search a thread on the main "Canada Immigration Forum > Immigration Topics > Family Class Sponsorship"
I belong to Vienna so search VIENNA OFFICE thread. etc.
If you applying inland then there are also dedicated threads on those purposes as well.

Many people will assist you only if you post on the right page!

Good luck to you
