Hi, I received a mail last night asking me to remit 10100 CAD. The town where I live, most banks do not have Outward Remittance facility. So I have to go to the next town where I do not have an account to do the wire transfer. Is this acceptable?

Kindly let me know if the following details that I would be entering while filling out forms for wire transfer are correct.

Beneficiary Name: [My First Name Last Name]
Name of the Beneficiary Bank : The Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank)
SWIFT Code: NOSCCATTCOL
Beneficiary Account Number : [8 digit Investment Ac Number]
Beneficiary Address: ???
Purpose : Education Abroad

Thanks!

Bump.

Would anyone recommend Thomas cook for wire transfer?

I would not recommend you to transfer your GIC amount through Thomas Cook.

And for wire transfer ask the "Forex branch" of the bank in which you have your savings account. May be you have to go some place where this branch is located. But I am sure they could help.

Thanks man! I will contact my bank regarding this. Is it okay if I do not have an account in the forex branch of my bank?

You are welcome.
Yes its absolutely ok. It is not necessary to have an account in forex branch of that bank. Just keep your cheque book ready when visit forex branch. They will also ask copy of your college offer letter, savings account details.

hi, thanks for the reply. Scotiabank emailed me asking me to just enter "CANADA" under the beneficiary address.
