After transferring funds to your gic acc send a mail to the Scotia bank with a swift copy or tt copy showing that you have transferred your funds.

Hi Simran,

I had applied for GIC on 3rd July , I got the account number on 19th July.

Since you have applied on 5th July , you might receive the account details tomorrow i.e 23rd July.

Applied GIC on 3rd july...took almost 14 working days and finally got my GIC investment number today at 5.30pm...

phewww... congrats , wire transfer the money tomorrow.. also carry some documents related to SPP,college admission letter bank might ask those documents.

Guys how do you all applied?? On your own or through a consultant? I am asking this because my brother applied through CANAM counsultant's, Pune and he got his Scotiabank account details within 2 days.

Scotia Bank Account details in 2 days !! . Then he must have applied very much early for the account.

Consultants may not play any role in getting account details , if it does please let me know..
I will get my GIC certificate early !!

That is what I said he applied on 16 July and consultant's provided him with account details on 17 July. Contact CANAM Consultants, Pune.

Do we need to send the receipt from Scotia secure mail id or my e-mail id which is registered with Scotiabank.

Subject Line – StudentName, GIC IP Number, Passport Number and Date of Birth

No where Scotia Bank have mentioned one needs to send then swift-copy , but individuals do it for safety purpose I guess.
Anyways I'll call up my consultant tomorrow ,ask her sending swift-copy will make the process fast or not and will let you know.
