Hello everyone,
I am Prabhnoor form India. On 12 Dec 2019 i had applied for Gic from ICICI Bank to Scotia Bank, Canada after 3 days i got an email from them that your gic has not been accepted because my communication address did not match with their records. When i check my communication address which was different from my passport address as one of the staff of icici bank who sent my Gic changed it as she picked my aadhar card address instead of passport address and in spite she did a lot of spelling errors. Which cause this whole problem. After that Scotia Bank returned my Gic amount on 31 Dec 2019. Again I applied for Gic on 17 Jan 2020 but from another bank which was SBI bank. After 3 days again i got an email form Scotia bank that gic did not accepted but with different reason that my passport number did not match with their records as there was an extra character 'S'. Then i immediately contacted SBI bank and told them about this and they got astonished because none of their student gic got rejected as they always send gic by adding extra character 'S' with passport number but that character was acronym of word Student as they only have limited space so they just add S with passport number. Even one of my sisters gic's got accepted. And her Gic was also sent in the same format by SBI bank only with that extra character 'S' with her passport number. My classes will begin on 20th March. My college name is CDI, Montreal branch. Please help me. if anyone of you had been passed from such situation. please help me out. i really need some valuable advice.
