I transferred gic to Scotiabank bro, and applying for September intake , ICICI bank officials are saying that Scotiabank will get your money within 5 working days.

it will take more time. still i haven't received the refund which was rejected on 19/05/2018. i have pay the gic again and got the certificate after 4 days.
so if you are planning for September intake i recommend that don"t waste time for waiting refund, pay it again and proceed for visa.

But then when did u received your GIC back????

Hello,
i have transferred gic on 15/05/2018 in bank of nova scotia. on saturday 19/05/2018 i got mail from scotia bank that my wire transfer was not accepted due to address mismatch. i want to know that how much time it would take to get money refund in my account so that i could reapply for the same ?
till date i have not received the refund as on 26/05/2018.

Upto 16 working days

contact the bank of scotia. the bank will give you a reference number. this reference number will help you to trace the payment.

Oh that's sad there is simple way to avoid this problem as i transferred my gic funds on 1st march after that i called them to ask my status on the next day and suddenly they said your funds will be rejected as address does not match i was in tears and they said there is no to solve but fortunately after calling multiple they told me just email your scanned passport and just in 1 day they had updated my address and granted me gic certificate

I paid my GIC on 3rd feb 2021 and my bank manager filled the address of my canada 's college in column of my home address and my GIC got rejected on 6 feb 2021 . Please tell me what should i do now . How much money will be deducted ?

It will come back to your account automatically in a few days ( 2 to 3 days generally). Change your name in your bank account and GIC account to exactly match your passport ( given name + Surname included). Then you can transfer again. Also just a word of caution they also reject if the address on passport and GIC account doesn't match, so ensure to have same addresses on both too..

they told me the same thing but when i asked in the bank they said it would take 21-25 days. they have such cases in past two months for which refund was credited in 21-25 days.
if you are lucky you will get it before that time period.

Make another transaction of $200 or may be $250. There are taxes on such transactions.
