Could you please let me know when will I be informed about the approval or rejection of my GIC.
I have created the GIC account with current home address and unfortunately my bank initiated wire transfer with passport address on June 12, 2018 and I haven't heard any confirmation on this yet (this is 5th business day).

Please give an overview on this situation

wait for more 3-4 days and if your GIC accepted no worries, and if it got rejected due to address mismatch, send a mail to scotia ( from secure mail service ) bank for correction of address as on passport with passport copy. after confirmation of address change repay the GIC again.

I am just little confused on the point Scotia Bank account with address as per passport.
Practically speaking I don't stay in that address now.
My other documentation mentions my current address. Will this be a problem in my other documentations ?

not at all. generally Scotia bank accepts the address and other information as per your passport.

After my gic rejection I again transferred my gic payment I wanna ask uh that do they match only the address on application Nd the Passport or they also match the account address??

Hi bro , i also got rejection yesterday because of address mismatch , my bank address was different from my passport address , so i contacted my bank and updated my address , now they are saying that don't send gic again , we will revert your wire transfer of 10200 as it is with updated address , because if u refund your gic and pay again , you will loose a lot of money.

i dont think it is possible to revert the payment again.

But bro, ICICI bank assured me that wherever your money is , we will track the wire transfer and revert it from there only. They said that still if you want to do a new payment , you can do but you will be at loss and it will also take same amount of time. I am confused now.

ok then, told them to hurry if you are applying for September intake. and did you transfer gic in scotia or icici ?
