Please note the following

When you transfer the money to Nova Scotia Bank Your name is mentioned in the transaction.
Secondly . I would suggest your should do it from your account , because under GIC the money is paid/remitted back to the original/beneficiary account in intervals of 2 months once, So if you transfer money from your dads account , he is going to get money and not you .. and again the whole hassle of wire transferring money is required when you are in canada and the Worst thing in this is more expenses and less benefits.
Secondly .. GIC in a students name and student's personal bank account has more credibility than parents might cause issues when getting a VISa , coz the GIC money will only be refunded back if the visa gets rejected.. no other reason.
So contact your student advisor and counsellor before you end up paying.

The main thing is that scotia bank need money to be transfered and you should pay money.so irrespective of whose account it is,you can pay them money.Visa officer only sees whether GIC submitted is genuine one or not.Once you get visa, you shld open an account in any of the scotia bank and give that details to them so that they will tranfer funds accordingly.Visa chances will not affect paying from your parents account.so go ahead and pay that amount from the account which you have sufficient funds for paying GIC.If visa gets rejected then send the scan copy of rejection letter,so they will return back your money to the account which is mentioned during wire transfer with 50 $ deduction.
