Guys I transferred funds (CAD 10100$)on 26/6/13 from kotak mahindra bank delhi.
I emailed scotia bank for the GIC certificate and they replied:

Dear Applicant,

Further to your query, we haven't received your funds as of today (3rd July 2013) and hence the GIC has not been issued. The GIC will be issued within 3 business days upon receipt of funds in your account.

Please note the following :

Only funds transferred from the student’s bank account in India will be accepted for funding the GIC. A total of $10,100 CAD must be received by Scotiabank in Canada

Do NOT use money transfer services other than Banks.
Do NOT have a third party deposit funds into your GIC Investment account on your behalf.

Guys Please suggest and help me out.
What should i do?

Hi all

i need some help regarding the GIC thing, i am applying under SPP, i have the gic account details

1) is it necessary to make the GIC payment from a account that is in my name, i will be actually making the payment from my mothers account.

2) Since the scotia bank says that they need 10100 $ how much should i wire transfer considering that intermediary banks will debit their processing charges as well.

Kindly help.

What did you fill in the beneficiary address your address in india or the banks adress???

Hi, I have a similar question. I have already created my account for GIC and address is my current address(which is also same as my address in home bank records) but my passport address is different( it was during my college and has address of hostel). Now I am not sure what address to add in beneficiary address while requesting the wire transfer.
Please help if have any information.
