GIC problem-Please help me

I had got my gic account number on 22/nov/2013
I had sent the amount through SBI on the same day

but i did not get my GIC certificate till now, but using the swift copy i had applied for student visa uder spp

now the problem is my surname was typed wrong in swift copy, i had seen it now.
its actually Maddukuri, but they typed Muddukuri,
whom should i contact now, all other details are correct, will i get GIC, if not how can i get my moeny back

please please help me

Oh.not a good time for mistakes like this, call GIC office and contact the branch from where u have sent the money. updates your information asap.

Swift copy blunders are common in Indian banks.. its SAD but true..
you cant help it no matter how careful you are..

But good for you, it does not matter. small mistakes in name does not account for a rejection of transfer usually..
The investment account number shud be arrite.. dats it..

I hope u already mailed the Swift copy (as a reply to mail from bank regarding the account opening). You can also take a scan of your bank statement showing the debit of the amount from your account.
Write a short polite mail if u havnt already..

Then, search on this forum for the president's office numbers.
Call them at night and tell them the situation. They will send it across soon then..

call this toll free no.0008001007460 and then select option 1 ur call will be transfer to them after a hold
u can confirm abt ur transaction ..

i called the first number, they said to mail them again the swift copy. so i did

I got my GIC certificate today. I have already submitted my visa application on 29 Nov. Can I update my visa application package Nw. Can none help Plz.

yes pranesh you can, i had applied visa through IDP education they said it is possible but i dont know how,
call them tomorrow

I applied for the visa on 28th november with the swift copy of funds transferred to scotia bank and got msg on 29th that my application has been received by canadian high commision and is in under perocessing.

Now the thing is i got my GIC today. should i send it to the vfs office or not

i mailed em through Gmail on the 'ems@newaccount' address. Got Gic in 5 days flat
