I wanted to know is it necessary to transfer gic from student's own bank account or we can transfer it from the parent's bank account also?

The rule for GIC explicitly states that any payment made for GIC has to.come from the students account( joint account also acceptable as long as one of the account holder is the student who is applying).

Yes, otherwise the bank will reject the gic and may ask u to send it by students account .Rejected gic means u will have to wait for funds to come back and it will take near about 10 days which may delay ur further processing of file

No, for payment, student must have PAN card.

Yes if you don't have a bank account open a new one and submit Form 60/61 or Apply for a pan card online and submit the acknowledgement as part of KYC documents.
Use this account to make payment for GIC.

I want to know whether SBI bank is good to pay gic from.....I went there and they asked for cheque book but I don't have one.....My father went there too ....to pay my fee but they gave lame excuse that now its 3:45 in India and it would be night in Canada so your money might get deducted....is it true or not...please tell

In case you didnt pay for GIC then go for CIBC Bank. You will get GIC certificate in 3 days ( i received in 48 hours)
