GIC personal experience and questions.

i applied for GIC on day 1 after that i received account no.,etc info on day 6. on day 7 i made wire transfer. on day 10 i received GIC certificate.

*only business days have been included. also, there is time difference between india and canada.

so, as one forum member said that it take 10 days to get GIC after wire transfer is wrong. (edit: on basis of my personal experience, doesn't apply to everyone else.)

now question, i recieved GIC but it doesnt have not signature on right side below. is is supposed to have signature??

Hey, Sign the GIC, with date and submit with your visa file!!!

it was you who told that 10 days, right??? maybe, your bank took lot of time for wire transfer that's why you had to wait for 10 days.

bro, I wrote this because some of the people get worried if they don't get GIC after 6-7th day but due greater no. of application sometime there was delay so i suggest that wait until 10 days.I know everyone will get GIC in 7-8 days.

I get my GIC after just 4 days because I apply on 27May & there was not such great rush.


BTW,when you going to apply for visa in which vfs.

22 g i am collecting some documents, i will apply as soon as possible and definitely before 14 june

Hi,

It's not necessary to sign the GIC Certificate. You can simply attach the "PDF" if applying online or take a print out if applying in paper.

bro, there are two places of signature, at one place my sign is required. at other place scotia representative signature is required. i was asking about scotia bank representative signature.

Its not wrong in some cases it may take even longer.It does not depend on Indian bank ut depends on the rush at scotia bank.
Dont say others are wrong as they put their comments on their personal story.

dude, why getting offended, it's a forum. I am supposed to say that what i feel was "wrong." even S-singh 22 has written that in some cases it takes longer, but he wrote 10 days so that people don't wait anxiously.

i have not written to others as if they are wrong, read my post again. it was only one person i heard and i know that at some banks it takes long. i don't think it depends on scotia bank rush because they have everything mentioned in their program guide and they didnt write that will depend on rush.

still its a forum, everyone expresses their opinion and if i don't express then how will people benefit from it in future??

You offeended in your post by saying that person was wrong so how you can ask me that i am offending?
Technically you got your GIC on 10th day and S-singh told you the same so he is not wrong.
First you ask questions(which is a good thing as its what for the forum is) but when their answers do not meet with your results you say that they/he are/is wrong.

S-singh is very helpful person. I and S-singh know what we had discussed earlier. you bro dont know all that. S-singh has helped me many times. so it is not that he feels bad. infact he is trying to help. (no technically, it was not the tenth day from the day we discussed it to be)

I just wana say getting GIC on 10th day is not wrong.My two friends got GIC after 13 working days.I dont want to remove or delete your post but dont says 10th day is wrong.
Its as correct as AAP got 4 seats only.
