Hi every one

I transferred CAD$ 10100 to Scotia Bank yesterday, I have the receipt of the same and have 2 queries now.

1) Should i mail them a copy of this receipt to the bank ? What is the mail id and the format of the mail?

2) Can i send a mail from my secure scotia bank id because i am not able to locate the compose mail button, even if i try replying to the last mail I received i cant change or even add any email address.

Any kind of help from seniors will be appreciated

Thanks

Hello,

You don't need to send any kind of mail from your side to Scotia Bank.
Wait for a weeks time and you will get your GIC in your Scotia Bank mail ID.

Im sure you are talking about tt. You need to send that to the bank to tell them you have transferred the money. You can send it to the normal mail i think its newaccount@scotiabank.com

HI

really appreciate that you guys are replying but i am all confused since some of you are saying that we need to mail the swift copy while some are saying we dont need to mail it.

if any one knows what exactly should be done kindly reply.

thanks

As per Bank's website, nothing more needs to be sent, check here (page 3):

http://www.scotiabank.com/startright/common/pdf/ssgp-application-guide.pdf

You have sent the money, you have done ur part.
Now wait for 3 business days.

They will send u the GIC.. in ur mail..

Do not send them unnecessary mails..

All the best..

Both the ways will get accepted.
I've paid on 3rd Oct 2013
Sent them TT on 4th Oct
Get the GIC on 9th Oct.

Suppose you're not sending then also it MAY not be any problem.

Email to : newaccount@scotiabank.com
subject line was : TT Receipt : "Full Name" Accnt no: *******
Attachement : TT Receipt.pdf
Message:
Dear Officer,

Kindly find the attached TT copy of my payments and do the needful for the GIC certificate.

Name: "your full name"
Acct No: *********
DOB: mm/dd/yyyy
Passport No: X******

GIC certificate takes timings of 18 to 20 working days.
