GIC account address

I have applied for GIC account and filled address as current address where I am living now but my passport has previous address . Now both are different so I wish to know where I should correct the address , on my passport , or in GIC account and instruction to bank during wire transfer to use address as per my passport . I wish to open GIC account in Scotia bank .

It would be advisable to update your address in your passport. And then apply for GIC account. The address in your passport must match the address in the wire transfer details.

It is advisable that u can call Scotiabank regarding ur address mismatch and try to explain them y ur address is different. They are very co operative and will help u
