I appllied for visitor visa on 26 oct, online, from 26 oct till date; i got 4 ghost updates so far. Is this good sign?

Similar situation - applied Oct 28 - 3 ghost updates so far.

I am not sure if it means anything until we have a final decision but whatever i read online indicates ghost updates are positive.

As I said, it just means something is happening. It has neither positive not negative connotations however as far as approval of application is concerned

You will get an update from cic in email but when you go in Portal you would see no real update (or sometimes there will be seemingly some update in text of status)

Any update ? I got the pre arrival though and i think visit visa and spousal visa background check is same isnt it ?

Still waiting for final decision...got biometrics correspondence letter today so hopefully will know soon if the ghost updates were worth the excitement. I believe spousal/PR background is more extensive.
