Does MP ask u consent form to be signed by sponsor?

Yes, MP usually ask for Consent form. Mine asked for it and after sending in the filled up one, he isn't responding back.

My MP did not ask for consent form. I was told that there is a new system for MP's that was implemented in November and MP's get an appointment to ask their questions. I got a response early this week and feel like everything has gone backwards. Still no progress (this has been since security started in July 2021). The IRCC agent gave my MP info on applying for a work permit, which is totally irrelevant as my spouse is here in Canada on a visitor visa and cannot apply for one.

Wasn't there also a study permit rush before September? So now, we get pushed back again to expedite the international students for the January session? What about spouses who have young children that have yet to meet their fathers? Don't they also deserve a break? They would focus on processing international student visas first because of the value they bring to the Canadian economy... Not fair!

I am just speculating, i don't know the ins and outs of the IRCC. But right now it is university students' applications rush. It's a short rush, it last barely beyond the end of November

Just send both passport I have a friend went through the same but sent in both passports and were both stamped.
