In several places it asks for purpose of visit and among the choices are visit and tourism. My GF will be visiting me but we will be doing tourism activities, so not sure which way to answer? Is it important?

A detailed day-by-day visit itinerary with expense estimates (entry fees, activities, local travel, etc) would help. She must prove she can afford to pay for this itinerary + airfare.

Again, the previous links I had posted in the other thread could help to prepare/structure her visa application

PS: 'Gf revenge purpose of visit'? :D

So do I choose visit or tourism?
Visit.

If you have plans to visit/travel together to another country after her Canada trip then do include evidence (bookings, her visa for that country, etc),.... or anything else along similar lines. The idea is to prove that if you're not in Canada then she has no reason to stay.

I think you shouldn't rush to submit her new application. Think, rethink, look for gaps, check the evidence to support any statements.... basically, she must prove that her ties to Thailand are stronger than wanting to stay back with you.

You may want to post the new list of documents

Thanks again Bryanna
She has a booked flight to Toronto April 9-23. The ticket is non-refundable. Also April is the only time of year she can get 2 weeks away from work. So basically it's now or never. Also the strength of her application is unlikely to improve, in fact it would worsen if her elderly parents passed away.
I've ordered the VO's notes, so I will wait till early march to apply. I have until then to find a way to strengthen her application.
She has nothing to gain by overstaying and everything to lose (her job, her right to work, her financial independence, her ability to support her parents), but if I cant convince the ircc, then it's a dead end The relationship will just be me visiting her in Thailand once a year.

IMO, she has a good case. It seems she did not present her situation well (Read: inadequate evidence and explanations)... plus, of course, stating her relationship (it's best to be truthful with IRCC).

Another case that might help you:

It's not feasible for my gf to book another trip after her Canada trip because she wouldn't be able to time off work. She's maxed out her time off with her canada trip.
And I could book something for myself but if they don't believe she will use her return flight, why would they believe me?

If you don't mind me saying this: Your optimism seems to be on a downward slope even though IMO, your gf has a pretty good chance of a TRV approval. Do remain optimistic and determined to succeed on the next attempt.

Your last few posts seem to indicate a kind of 'I give up' thinking: 'now or never'.... 'it would worsen if her elderly parents passed away', 'but if I cant convince the ircc, then it's a dead end', 'if they don't believe she will use her return flight, why would they believe me?'

We've seen people with record-breaking number of TRV refusals who didn't give up and were eventually granted TRVs. Not saying that your gf must break their TRV refusal records :).... but seriously, she has a good chance

Thanks, i am actually very determined to succeed on this next try. It's just that if it fails, it will not be until Apr 2020 that she could get 2 weeks off again.
I'm just frustrated at the process....
