Hey,

I am trying to contact the C.I.C Call Centre @ the only number they have listed anywhere - 1888 242 2100

I have questions that I need to ask a call centre agent, a live HUMAN BEING, but i am finding myself unable to get around the automated prompts...

The website says to enter one of the first 5 prompted options before you can speak to someone, but the phone number never allows you to, only leading you to more prompted options, then more, then more, before providing automated info.

I tried pressing 0 for an operator/person at different points, which wouldn't work.

I tried calling 2/3 pm today from Toronto ( The website says between 8am and 4pm for LIVE AGENTS), and at no point was I able to get past the automated prompts or speak to a person...

Anyone know how I can get around this, to speak to a REAL PERSON?

Or Is there a walk-in office I can just go to in Toronto to speak to someone there?

cheers,

Pressing 0 should work, however, sometimes they are too busy and will simply tell you to call back later.

Call really early so you can talk to an agent. Even then you still would have to wait a while before you can get through. There was once a time when the agent said calling on a Thursday is not as busy. I wonder why. But I myself called on a Monday and really early, 8 A.M. your time.

You might have better luck going through the pay line:

+1 613 944 4000 (for an agent: options 1,2,1,2,1 ... then 0 to skip the message)

Hours open are:

UTC / GMT: 11:30 - 00:00

Thought maybe I could help out with this one as I finally managed to get through to a human.

call - 1.613.944.4000

Each time you hear a voice hit...

1,2,1,1,3,0 ( Will be in English, but since you are reading this. I am assuming that is ok lol and you should go slow through the options as it will trigger a call authentication cycle.)

You may have to hang up and dial this multiple times in order to get a place in line for an agent.

Hope this helps

Its an impossible go to contact a person from this agency. Ive waited almost a year for a application visa refund. People would think this agency works for the canadian government and not for the people who elected the government to work for them. Totally incompetent system.
