Getting the PR Card

Hi all

I am in the final stages of getting the VISA stamped and I guess I will have to land before October since Oct last year was when my medicals were done. I need to land and come back to India to wrap up things here by end of year.

What are the options I have to get my PR Card delivered to a friend in Canada or does it have to be a permenant address in Canada? If I can have my friend collect it, he could bring it to India when he visits India later this year.

Please let me know if there are other options as well. Thanks

It is okay. Provide your friend address for PR card delivery. He can bring the card when he visit your place later. You need to stay 2 out of 5 years in Canada to retain your PR status.

Thanks a lot. Is it an easy process to update my address later when I move and finalise in accomodation?
Also, would this be a scenario where a Travel Document is also an option?

Yes you can update the address later. You can apply PRTD from VFS India, processing time around 2 weeks.
