Getting Study Visa while in Canada on a valid Tourist Visa

Hi all. I'm from Iran, currently in Canada on a tourist visa which is valid for 9 months. What are possible ways for me to apply for a study visa? I read something on CIC that pple like me can apply to the VAC in Los Angeles. Is that correct?

Maybe clarify how you are on a tourist visa for 9 months. Impossible to say about study permit as you have provided no details on current qualifications or planned course.

If you have acceptance letter from DLI, you can apply online or by paper from Canada itself.
I did that with my brother.

May I ask where are you from and on what visa were you and your brother in Canada before applying for study permit?

I'm on a business/visit visa. And it's valid until my passport expires which is on 2019. I mistakenly said 9 months. I haven't done anything about that. But if I know that I can apply while I'm in Canada, I'll get my acceptance letter from a designated college or university, then will go through required steps to get study visa. I just want to know if I'm able to do that.
