Hi,
My Fiance in Canada is applying to sponsor me, we've got all our paperwork done, getting ready to send.
On the requested list of documents it asks for:
"13. PHOTOS
Supply five (5) recent photos for each member of your family and yourself. Follow the instructions in
your guide (see Photos in section on completing the Application for Permanent Residence in
Canada) and in Appendix B, Photo Specifications."
Is the photos of all members of family solely for those applying to sponsor multiple members of family and i'd just have to get the photos sent of myself?
OR do I need to have the photos sent of ALL my family regardless?

Also on my Fiance's checklist it mentions "IF you don't meet the minimum financial requirement to send through Notice of Assessment". Thought there wasn't a minimum financial requirement for the Common law partner visa? We are providing proof of her working plus Stat Decs from her family advising they are happy to support us financially if required, would this be sufficient?

thanks for your help :)

Hey there Nick or Karen (not sure which!)

Re your photos, just send photos of yourself. Family members only applies if you are bringing kids over with you. So you don't need to send photos of your mum, dad etc!!

Re finances, you cannot be refused for financial reasons in family class applications. Although they can't refuse the application, they can rightfully ask how you will be supported if your fiancée was on welfare which can lead to delays etc. For this you will need an Option C Printout of their last tax year from the Canada Revenue Agency, as stated on one of the forms. It's better to show zero income than income from welfare payments. If he/she cannot obtain one because they've been out of the country for a long duration for example, then write a letter of explanation. The letter from his/her employer is also a necessary requirement but seems like you have that in hand.

Hope that helps.
