Hello,

I received an email to send my passport for PR stamping along with a return pre-paid envelope to receive the passport back.

I send my passport which reached Canada this week Monday. The tracking number on return envelope is showing no information found when I try to track the return package.

How much time does it normally take them to put the PR stamp on passport? Do you get any kind of notification email saying passport has been sent back or stamping has been done?

Thanks!!

You should have two tracking numbers. The first one lets you track the delivery of your Passport to CPC. This will let you know when you passport reaches them. Usually, they will process it between 7-10 days after receipt. Once they do, your MyCIC account status will change to 'Approved' and a counterfoil number will show up. After printing your COPR, they shall hand over the return envelope to the mail service; at which time your return tracker shall activate. This is how you will known when your COPR+Passport has begun its return journey.

@skape7 - Thanks for your response! Based on the first tracking number, I see that my passport reached there on Monday. It's Friday today and haven't seen any updates on CIC site and not even on my return tracking number so was worried about my passport. I will wait for another week then before contacting CIC to check for the progress.

Great! Perhaps you can add your case to the MyImmitracker website (CPC Passport tracker thread) to have a more accurate idea of how other people with similar dates are getting their passports returned.

Thanks @skape7! I checked the MyImmitracker for Canada and seems like it has taken beyond 20 days as well for some people to get the approval. Other cases whose passport was delivered after mine have got approved, so not sure how they are processing the applications. It's been 10 days now since my passport delivery date and am getting worried.

Will wait until end of this week, after that will contact the center to check if they have my passport. Wish they would update the application saying passport received or something, so I know that they have it.

You shouldn't worry as the wait is perfectly normal based on current processing trends.
If its any consolation, the same happened to me too. Some others who sent their passport a couple of days after I did, got their approval and even received their passport while I was still waiting for an approval....The important thing is that I got my COPR eventually (21 days since I mailed it to them!) and that is what matters.
So hang on in there and have patience as you are so close to the finish line:)

@skape7 - Thank you so much for helping me have patience! I was super worried for my passport, but my application got updated today and my PR was approved today. I also see the counterfoil number on it. My passport was reached on 24th June, so I am expecting it to receive it back sometime next week. :)
