Getting PNP while on Implied status... How to get new work permit !!!

Hi Guys,
I need an expert advice. I got PNP on 19/8/16. I am on implied status now because my work permit got expired on 30/7/16 and I have already applied for the extension.
How can I apply for a new work permit now? Should I go to the border or just send the nomination letter and work permit support letter to CIC to go with my existing application?

Apply for a BOWP using your AOR.

I am on implied status right now. Can I still work while waiting for BOWP?

You can't apply for BOWP on implied status, since you must have a valid WP to apply for BOWP.

If you are from a visa exempt country, you can go to the border and get a permit with your PNP support letter. Note your employer needs to register the job offer using the online portal first (think it is $150, takes 30 mins tops).

If not, you will need to apply to CIC.
