getting passport renewed after visa

hello friends,

i have applied for visa and I am hoping that I would get visa soon,

after getting visa, I want to renew my India passport as my appearance has changed over time. when I will apply for renewing passport then they will cancel the passport which will contain visa,

so can i show cancelled passport with valid visa to enter canada? (along with new valid passport without visa )

It doesn't matter you will have to keep both the passports(old + NEW) to show your Visa to the country you are travelling.
