Hi, my name is Warren, I'm an international student from the U.S.
Last year I was accepted into McGill University and acquired my CAQ and study permit. I performed just fine in all my classes. After a semester however, I decided to go back home and take a break from my studies. The main reasons were that I could not afford McGill's tuition rate and that I needed time to figure out what I wanted to study.
Fast forward to today, I am applying to transfer to a number of colleges here in the States, but I would also like to consider Concordia University(as it is much cheaper than McGill). I've already applied to Concordia and anticipate getting admitted to my program of choice. However, obviously my CAQ and Study Permit are no longer valid because I took a break from my studies.
Assuming that I get admitted to Concordia, I understand that I need to include my past CAQ and study permit in my application for my new ones. What else should I include to make my case? An explanation letter? Also how should I expect this to affect the process/possibility of attaining these documents?
Thank you!
