I was submitting documents for family sponsorship. Files are all under 4MB size limit but I have lots of files to submit (80 in total).
After submitting 60 files, if I try to upload more, it gives an error message popup saying - 'Maximum value exceed'.

I tried- delete one and then uploaded another, then it works but again when it's more than 60 files, I start getting that error for the next file.

Does anyone know if there's a limit to file number for uploading? Or what does this error mean?

Thanks!

Try to merge similar files and reduce the number of files to 60.

If your software does not support pdf merge, then you can try merge online (Confession: I have not used it so cant comment on its quality) https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/acrobat/combine-pdf?x_api_client_id=adobe_com&x_api_client_location=combine_pdf

If you think it is needed, write the reason for merging on an explanation letter.

Hi, if I remember correctly you can upload max of 59 files other than the forms. So you have to combine the relevant and similar docs into one as much as you can. I was able to, and finally I uploaded 50 files. Each file had one or more related docs in it. I added an intro page or contents page in the beginning to help explain their contents. Finally in a separete LOE, I explained everything one by one.

I used PDFSam Free version to merge and split pdfs. For generating and editing PDFs with images I used Affinity Publisher but you have to buy it. It's like Adobe but you buy it once for lifetime. In PDFSam you can also enable compress pdf hoping that it will reduce the size. It works if your PDf has digital texts instead of scanned texts.
