Getting married in Canada

I am a British Citizen, if I was to get married to my Canadian boyfriend in Ontario Canada would we just need to apply for a marriage licence or is it more complex than that being from the UK? We plan to get married in a city hall not a church.

You need your birth certificate and if you were married before, you need proof that you aren't anymore.

No. There's not really any difference besides the fee's charged for marriage lisense and stuff.

Your post reminded me of another question I had, does anyone know about having to get your marriage registered in Ontario if my husband and I were married in the States???
