Hi. Just wanted to ask about our situatuon.
My long time girlfriend is in her 7th month of a 2 year program in BC (ofcourse she entered canada with a student visa). Im planning on proposing and hopefully marry by the end of 2022.
When we do marry, i want to help her out with her tuition fees for the remaining 1 year left in her school.
I just have a few concerns.
1. When we do marry, would it be possible for me to get a spouse visa and open work permit? Does that affect her status in canada (she entered canada as single and in the middle get married)
2. Does she have to change/do anything once we do get married?
3. Will getting married affect her chances of getting a PGWP?
4. Will me (the spouse) also get an extended open work permit is she gets a PGWP?
5. Do i become eligible for PR as a skilled worker after i get 1 year of skilled work experience as someone on a spouse visa with an open work permit?
